Support to grow commercial crop in Huaphan

Official in Xiengkhor District of Huaphan province are supporting villager to grow commercial crop 0n 2,707 hectares during the rainy seanson to earn an extra income.

A senior officer from Agriculture and forestry office in Xiengkhor district, Ms. Manysone Phimmachan, said that the official will support villagers to grow commercial crop, including corn, oranges, banana and mangoes
Besides, they will grow rainy season rice on 1,864.46 hectares and food grains on 177 hectares, she added
In 2019-2020, Xiengkhor district support villagers to grow dry season crops on 424.53 hectares which yielded 2,022.09 tones, said Ms. Manysone

She said she has supported farmers to grow dry season rice and commercial crops in Xiengkhor district so that they have enough for self consumption, said Ms. Manysone
