Nam Oy Kone is one of the suvenir in Savannakhet, Southern Laos. It's sweet and delicious 

 

Ingredients

  • Fresh sugar cane

Method

  1. Wash the sugarcanes well and peel the hard-outer layer of the cane with a big knife.
  2. Now cut them into small pieces and blend
  3. Boil for 2 hours or it stew
  4. put it on cooking form and leave it for cool
  5. Already for serving or keep it in the glass as suvenir

Noted

  • You can add more ingredients such as sesame seed or coconut pieces before putting it on the cooking form
  • Brown sweet sugar cane (Nam Oy Kone) can be cooked for varies menu such as dessert or use as sugar for cooking
