Harvested tea Leaves

Technique for harvesting: When tea trees are 3 years old, their top leaves can be harvested. Only the top young leaves and shoot tips are taken, usually by hand; the lower leaves are left to grow and strengthen the plant. The harvested tea leaves should be kept in a basket and stored in a cool shady place in order to prevent them drying out. To make good-quality tea, harvested leaves should be taken for processing within 2–3 hours.
