Botanical Description

Fruiting body 4−10 cm long, 1−5 cm diameter and grayish−brown. Cap is oval, then as it matures it becomes progressively conical, convex, and eventually flattened, sometimes with a small umbo, smooth, grayish−brown. The gills are white, free. The stem is slender, 8 to 22 cm long and 1 to 2 cm (0.4 to 0.8 in) thick. The spore print is white.

Description of Use

This species also cook as seen with other edible Aminata, popular menu soup with ant egg, other soup with other species of mushroom.
