Large plant, erect and drooping stems about 0.5-1 cm in diameter and up to 1 m long. Leaves grow in the same plane at the tip of young stems, are linear and 1.5-2 x 5-8 cm. The long inflorescence grows up to 40 cm from the stem tip, with many big white-yellow flowers with two large violet points, 4 cm-6 cm wide.
This popular ornamental flowers for more than 15 days. Very common in deciduous forest types all over the country, and harvests of more than 5 kg per person per day are possible. Sells for $0.12 per kg. Exported to Thailand, Vietnam and China.
