Botanical Description

Plant show an elongated leafy stem carrying distichous, sword-shaped, coriaceous, conduplicate, basally clasping leaves that blooms mostly in the spring and summer on an erect, 8' [240 cm] long, subterminal inflorescence with many [12 to 30] fragrant long-lasting flowers.

Occurrence in Region: Laos, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Occurrence in nature (ecology and ecosystem): This is a giant sized, lithophyte or terrestrial, monopodial orchid found at elevations of sea level to 1100 meters as a warm to hot growing orchid found on the edges of evergreen jungle.
