Botanical Description

Medium sized, cool to hot growing epiphyte or lithophyte and has the oddity of having the new pseudobulb arise from the apex of last year’s mature pseudobulb and has ovate to linear-lanceolate leaves with prominent veins and blooms on a slender, drooping inflorescence with broad, brownish floral bracts that drop as the many scented flowers smelling of musk open occurring in the spring and summer.

Occurrence in Region: Eastern Himalayas, Nepal, western Himalayas, India, Tibet, China, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Borneo, Java, Sulawesi and Sumatra
Occurrence in nature (ecology and ecosystem : Medium sized, Lithophyte or epiphytic species found in semi-deciduous and evergreen mountainous forests and highland primary cloud forests at altitudes of 300 to 1600 meters.

Description of Use

Finely macerated in oil and is applied on joints for the treatment of rheumatic pains  by fresh Pseudobulbs  use for  rheumatic pain.
