Botanical Description

Small erect orchid, with rounded stem, about 0.2 cm-0.5 cm in diameter and 5 cm-12 cm long, with five to eight leaves at the tip of young stems. Inflorescences droop from a node at the axillary leaf, are up to 40 cm long and produce 35-40 white and pink flowers, each up to 2 cm wide.

Description of Use

This species is becoming rare as whole plants are collected from the wild. Harvesting is limited to4-10 plant/day per person per day and plants sell for up to 200,000 LAK/plant.
