Lao spicy shrimp salad is one of the best local dished that should definitely not be missed

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of shrimp
  • 1 piece of lime
  • 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
  • 1 table spoon of chilipowder
  • 4 red or green chilies (sliced)
  • 2-3 tablespoons of roasted sticky rice (pounded) 
  • 1 cup of spring onion (sliced)
  • 1 cup of tooth herb (sliced)
  • 1 cup of mint (sliced)

Method

  • Stream or stir the shrimps until they are soft.
  • Put the soft shrimps, the red or green chilies, the spring onions, the tooth herb, and the mint into a bowl. 
  • Add the fish sauce, the roasted sticky rice, the lemon, and the chilipowder. Mix everything together until you have the desired taste. 

Suggestions

  • Add long beans.
  • Add more lime and chilies.
