Botanical Description

Stem is angular and dark, with white sheath at the nodes, about 0.5-1 cm in diameter and 30-40 cm long. Three to five leaves grow on the tip of young stems. Inflorescences produce many white-yellow flowers, up to 30 cm long but the young inflorescence is white.

Description of Use

Very commonly seen as an ornamental orchid in gardens. A rare species in very high demand, with a single plant costing $1. Harvests of 3-5 kg per person per day possible. Found all over the country in all forest types.
