Come learn from youth across the Asia-Pacific region about why their generation should mobilize to protect forests.

RECOFTC, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) are hosting the event on Wednesday, 16 December 2020 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. ICT at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand (FCCT). This event is free and open to all. 

The event will also be livestreamed on RECOFTC’s Facebook page. The event will be in English.

The event will also celebrate the student video competition. High school and college students from across the Asia-Pacific submitted 19 videos that answer the question: “Can protecting forests prevent pandemics?” The videos came from eight countries: Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines and Thailand.
